Pillbox Hill Medical Center successfully rescued 4 patients and 1 doctor during a high-risk mission on Mount Chiliad. According to EMS officials, the group was caught in a dangerous fall along one of the steep cliff trails, leaving them unable to descend safely. The on-scene doctor who attempted to stabilize the victims also became trapped due to unstable terrain and worsening weather conditions.

Air Rescue Operation

Pillbox’s MedVac was immediately dispatched for the mountain rescue. The Air Unit performed a precision hover while medics were lowered via winch to reach the injured. The entire EMS Air and Ground Unit worked together seamlessly, ensuring every patient was rescued safely through coordinated teamwork, quick decision-making, and unwavering dedication.
